Preview: The War on Drugs Return w/ Daytrotter Session and Forthcoming EP
Come with me, if you will, back to the halcyon days of 2008… back when four plucky Cincinnatians launched an independent music e-zine called TRACER Magazine (why would we name a website TRACER Magazine? That’s a whole other post, my friends). Back in those carefree days, one of the first bands TRACER profiled was a Philadelphia outfit called The War on Drugs. The 9th Annual Forecastle Festival
This year, in particular, Nederlander Entertainment and the fine folks behind Forecastle have really outdone themselves. From July 9 – 11, Louisville’s beautiful Waterfront Park welcomes the likes of The Flaming Lips, Smashing Pumpkins, Spoon, DEVO, She & Him, Drive-By Truckers, Minus the Bear, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Lucero, Modern English (yes, that Modern English), Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Sara Watkins (of Nickel Creek), Cloud Cult, we were promised jetpacks, Foxy Shazam, Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s, Jukebox the Ghost, and The Tillers… just to name a few.
